Auguries of the Sacred: Kimberly Webber Solo Exhibition 2025

Auguries (plural form of augury); divination based on the appearance of animals and birds. The art, ability or practice of auguring. The sign of something coming, foretelling events through the behavior of animals or birds, an omen, prophecy. Auguries of the Sacred features 11 new paintings and additional recent works by Contemporary Symbolist Kimberly Webber (American). The paintings revolve around the theme of the animal-human bond that spans millennia of co-existence and mutual evolution. Since time immemorial seers, shamans and priestesses have received messages from the animal kingdom and journeyed with animal allies in the dream-time and meditative states. In the new series, archetypal figures receive messages from totemic medicine owls, wolves, bears, jaguars and horses in Webber’s signature fusion of classic Eastern and Western painting lineages. Archetypes of the modern era serve as signposts for the current viewer, as humanity collectively navigates massive change and prepares for a quantum leap forward. The animals and birds guide the way with their ancient and prophetic wisdom, appearing to foretell the shifting timelines; offering to co-create with humanity to protect and honor the sacred.
